The Office of Personnel Management has produced a new strategic plan for the next five years, indicating that it will continue to work on revisions to personnel rules at the Defense and Homeland Security departments and will continue to advocate for such changes government-wide. Other initiatives include: issuing a catalog of government-offered professional development programs, continue to improve retirement systems administration, roll out the new dental/vision benefit plan, promote alternative health insurance designs “which may include additional health savings plan options,” and lay the groundwork for “more refined market adjustments to pay.”
