Also signed were: P.L. 109-313, a GSA reorganization
act that includes a provision allowing agencies to
rehire federal annuitants into acquisition-related
positions without an offset between their salaries and
their annuities in certain situations; and P.L. 109-325,
which allows agencies to conduct pilot programs of
alternative methods of reimbursing employees for relocation
expenses, such as providing a lump-sum and allowing the
employee to make arrangements as he or she sees fit rather
than following GSA procedures and submitting detailed
expenses for reimbursement.
