The Senate Homeland Security and Governmental Affairs Committee has passed S-1000, which would: create a presumption that federal employees (with some exceptions) are eligible to participate in telework at least 20 percent of the hours in each two-week period; require that agencies allow telework except when it would hamper performance or agency operations; and require that each agency appoint a full-time telework managing officer. Meanwhile, a newly introduced House bill (HR-4106) would impose many of the same requirements.
