Transition Period Ahead

Several special considerations will apply during the transition period to the new system. From August 31 through September 15, participants will not be able to request personal identification number or contribution allocations electronically through the TSP’s web site or its customer service number, and from August 16 through September 15 participants will not be able to request interfund transfers electronically; those transactions can be made in those periods using paper forms, however. Also, a loan application or a withdrawal request before the transition must be received by the TSP by August 23 for those wishing to receive their loan payments or withdrawals in early September; otherwise, the processing will be suspended and the loans and withdrawals disbursed after September 15.
