The three stock-oriented Thrift Savings Plan funds continued their gaining streaks in August, with the small and mid-capitalization stock (S) fund up 4.12 percent, the international stock (I) fund up 2.39 percent and the common stock (C) fund up 1.94 percent. The S and C funds have risen six straight months, bringing their return over the last 12 months to 25.39 and 11.95 percent, respectively, while the I fund has gained for five straight months, for a 9 percent 12-month gain. The bond (F) fund gained 0.73 percent in August and the government securities (G) fund rose 0.4 percent, for 4.41 and 4.01 percent gains, respectively, over the last 12 months.
