The Thrift Savings Plan has started the transition to its much-awaited and long-delayed new computer system, which is set to launch September 15. Through September 15, the TSP is not accepting interfund transfer requests filed electronically; those who file them on paper (form TSP-50) will have their requests held for processing until September 16, the first business day under the new system. Those who wish to have their loan or withdrawal requests processed before the new system’s launch date must get their applications to the TSP before Friday (August 23). Any requests made after that date won’t be disbursed until after September 15.
