Variations by Agencies Exist

OPM found some agencies that have especially low rates of eligible employees who actually telework, including the State and Veterans Affairs departments, at 2 and 1 percent, respectively. Several other agencies, mostly small bodies, had rates in the single digits as well. Agencies that are the heaviest users of the telework centers operated by the General Services Administration, mainly in places outlying Washington, D.C., include Defense, GSA, Transportation, Treasury and Health and Human Services.
