Back Pay for GS Step 11

I have a situation where I was getting paid step 1 for 1.5 years. I have got it corrected by HR and was increased to a Step 3. My question is, is there a way i can figure out what my backpay will be for 16 months. Also, will it be on the old GS 2021 Pay scale or the new 2023 pay scale? HR and finance said that i have to wait for the LES on the next paycheck to find out. But was hoping for more.

It will be based on the pay of record for the dates in that pay status. It would be almost impossible to calculate yourself but you might do OK with a ballpark. Good luck.

If you haven't been paid retro yet, you may need to file a OPM Pay Claim.
