Is it possible to be employed by two federal agencies at the same time?

Does OPM have a process to allow a federal employee to work for more than one federal agency? For example could I work for the USGS 6 months out of the year, and then NOAA for the remaining 6 months? Or similarly, is there a process to be employeed by a single agency (say USGS), but have your salary partially paid by another agency (say NOAA)?

Yes you can but you can only receive credit for no more than the equivalent of one full time position.
