Can a person transfer within the same grade? I have the opportunity to transfer to a different organization at the same grade and feel like my organization will not approve, can they stop this? Any info would be appreciated. Blocked by moderator

I can tell you from experience, YES, you can accept a lateral transfer and NO your agency cannot deny you this opportunity to change agencies. At worst, explain to your new agency your current agency doesn’t want to release you and you will need to resign your current position and ask the new agency pick you up the next day. Since the break is less than three days, for retirement purposes, there is no break at all. Good luck! Blocked by moderator
