A new TSP bill has been signed into law permitting new withdrawal options – but those have not yet been enacted. If I take an age based withdrawal now, when I retire will be able to take other post separation withdrawals pursuant to the new bill even though rules have not been adopted? Blocked by moderator

At this time, you are limited to one age based withdrawal. Once the TSP bill is enacted (it has already been signed into law) that will change and you will the have the option to elect multiple age based withdrawals as long as you are still employed and at least age 59 1/2 or older. The law will also provide the ability to make multiple post-separation partial withdrawals. FYI, they are saying it might take up to two years for this to be implemented. Blocked by moderator
