What happens to your annual leave and sick leave if you pass away while still employed under FERS? Blocked by moderator

If you have any eligible survivor the sick leave will add to your length of service for annuity computation purposes. If no eligible survivor, then it is lost. As for the annual leave, it will be paid out in a lump sum to your designated beneficiary or if no designation of beneficiary form on file then paid in a lump sum according to the statutory order of preference.
