It’s hard to hit a moving target. Well, the Thrift Savings Plan has moved a few times in its lifetime. Recently I received an email from the TSP that provided information on how to contact the ThriftLine in writing. Imagine my surprise when the address was in New Jersey!
Back in 1987, when the TSP made its debut, it was located in New Orleans, not New Jersey. After Katrina, the TSP relocated to Oklahoma, and then to Birmingham, AL. From a musical perspective, it went from the land of Antoine (Fats) Domino, to the land of Jon Bon Jovi, with stops in the lands of Garth Brooks and Emmylou Harris.
In any event, here are the ways that you can contact the ThriftLine.
Phone ThriftLine: 1-877-968-3778 (toll-free)
You’ll need your 6-digit ThriftLine PIN to access your account.
Business Hours: Monday – Friday from 7:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. eastern time
International: (404) 233-4400 (not toll-free)
711 TTS Relay: Persons with a hearing or speech disability may utilize the free Telecommunications Relay Service (TRS) by dialing 711 from any telephone.
Virtual assistant chat (Ava).
