Airmen who recently gave birth or adopted a child or children can now defer reporting to certain assignments for as long as six months, under a new policy adopted by the Air Force. The change applies to family-member restricted tours, accompanied tours in which concurrent travel is denied, temporary duty assignments, and deployments.
