Air Force members who agree to extend their tours of Korea 12 months beyond prescribed lengths could qualify for an extra $300 per month in their paychecks. They also may apply for special consideration for their next duty station. To qualify for the Korea Assignment Incentive Pay Program, service members must sign a written agreement to serve the extra year beyond the established 24-month accompanied and 36-month unaccompanied tours. The incentive is not available to colonels, lieutenant colonels, chief master sergeants, or senior master sergeants. Judge advocates general are also excluded. For more information, call the Air Force Contact Center at (800) 616-3775.
