AF Reserve Surpasses YTD Recruiting, Retention Goal

The Air Force Reserve reported 6,386 accessions for the fiscal year that began last Oct. 1, through Aug. 1 – exceeding the projected goal of 4,853. Of all active and reserve components, the Army Reserve (24,548 accessions) fell short of its goal of 26,823, and the Army National Guard (43,519 accessions) fell short of its goal of 45,101. The Air National Guard also exceeded projected accessions (9,396 accessions). The other branches either met or slightly exceeded projected accessions. The active Army reported 50,290 accessions; the active Navy reported 30,151 accessions; the active Marine Corps reported 22,215 accessions; the active Air Force reported 22,467 accessions. The Air National Guard reported 9,396 accessions.
