The Air Force is building a “career recruiter force” of senior enlisted airmen in the Air Force Recruiting Service. This will not mean that airmen can spend a full career as recruiters, but will provide for filling some 400 of the service’s supervisor posts with experienced senior NCOs. Prerequisites for technical sergeants include a minimum of five years of recruiting experience. Master sergeants and master sergeant-selects with at least two years of recruiting experience also may apply. Career recruiters will be assigned at three levels. Entry level supervisors will serve as flight chiefs of enlisted and officer accession units. The next level will be at Recruiting Service headquarters, or a recruiting squadron or group headquarters. The top two levels are for master sergeants assigned as production superintendents, school house superintendents, and chief of the skills management branch.
