Army Sgts. Major Course May Add Officer Training

A team of Army sergeants major is studying a plan to incorporate some instruction now provided to midcareer officers into the curriculum of the U.S. Army Sergeants Major Academy (USASMA). The officer instruction would be woven into the four major areas of the USASMA course: Common Core; Leadership; Resource Management; and Military Operations. The team conducting the study consists of 13 sergeants major from all components and branches of the Army, who have graduated from the academy within the past two years.
