Operation Homefront, a national non-profit organization dedicated to providing emergency assistance to military families, is sponsoring a contest to honor mothers of service members. "We’re looking for inspirational stories of military wives and women in uniform who are successfully parenting children through the challenges of military life," states CinCHouse.com, the organization’s community Web site. The winner of the Operation Homefront Military Motherhood Award will receive $5,000, plus a trip to the award ceremony in Washington, D.C., in May. The entry deadline is March 31. A panel will pick a winner in April. To enter, visit CinCHouse.com.
