The 2016 Defense Authorization Bill, which cleared Congress earlier this month, calls for a one-percent annual reduction in the Basic Housing Allowance (BAH). House and Senate conferees agreed that BAH should cover 95 percent of estimated housing expenses for service members who cannot or choose not to live in base housing. Additionally, the lawmakers rejected plans to increase pharmacy co-payments for TRICARE beneficiaries. Rather, they agreed to some adjustments to co-payments for certain generic and non-generic medications.
