The Marine Corps wants to change the registration procedure for persons who may have been exposed to poisonous water at Camp Lejeune, N.C., between 1953 and 1987. Notice of the proposed changes was published in March 23 issues of The Federal Register. If fully adopted, the registration process would comply more thoroughly with provisions of the Privacy Act of 1974. The Marine Corps will accept comments regarding the Federal Register entry through April 22. Unless the comments contain a good reason to do otherwise, the changes would take effect April 23. The Federal Register is available online at https://www.federalregister.gov/articles/2015/03/23/2015-06507/pricacy-act-of-1974-system-of-records#h-15. The document number is 2015-06507.
