The Navy has revamped its list of ratings for which active-duty and full-time support sailors could qualify for the selective reenlistment bonus (SRB). Twenty-six specialties will see increases in award levels, while 22 others will decrease. Seven skills were added to the list, while 11 were dropped. The Navy uses the SRB to retain sailors in critically needed skills. Details are available in NAVADMIN 144/17, on the Navy web site at www.navy.mil. Sailors interested in reenlisting and collecting SRB should work with their command career counselor, command master chief and chain of command.
