CNO: Tuition Assistance To Remain at 100 Percent

Sailors who use tuition assistance (TA) will continue to receive 100-percent reimbursement for tuition and enrollment fees for fiscal year 2015, which extends from Oct. 1, 2014, through Sept. 30, 2015. Chief of Naval Operations Adm. Jonathan Greenert made the announcement during a March 18 All-Hands Call at Mayport Naval Station, Fla., essentially modifying an earlier proposal which would have trimmed TA coverage to 75 percent of tuition costs. Greenert did not rule out a possible change in future years, in which sailors would have to meet some of their education costs out-of-pocket.
