The Military Compensation and Retirement Modernization Commission is on schedule to deliver its report on possible changes to the compensation system to the White House by its Feb. 1 deadline. The panel will meet in Arlington, Va., later this month to finalize its findings. Established in 2013 to determine which benefits are cutting into modernization and training, the commission has “identified a number of efficiencies,” spokesman Jamie Graybeal told The Hill, a Washington-based news publication. The report is expected to reach President Obama’s desk around the same time he submits his 2016 defense-spending bill request to Congress, the National Guard Association of the United States reported.
