The Navy has decided to retain 8,760 of the 9,096 candidates whose records were reviewed by the Senior Enlisted Continuation Board, the service announced Dec. 1. The panel looked at chief, senior chief, and master chief petty officers with more than 19 years of service, generally choosing to let go those with "documented misconduct" or "substandard performance" entries on their records. Those who will not be retained must retire by June 30, 2011. Candidates who wish to review their status can do so online at https://www.bol.navy.mil.
