The Coast Guard Cutter Vigilant assisted Bahamian law-enforcement authorities during a seizure of 480 pounds of marijuana and a variety of illegally obtained prescription drugs from a vessel, during an April 4 operation on the Bahamian island of Great Inagua. Vigilant’s crew took part in the mission at the request of the Bahamian government, with crewmembers boarding the 40-foot Isaac. The crew found the contraband, valued at roughly $500,000, during the search. Vigilant is based at Port Canaveral, Fla.
