DACOWITS Panel Members Selected

The Defense Advisory Committee on Women in the Services (DACOWITS) has a new chairwoman and nine appointees. Retired Army Lt. Gen. Claudia J. Kennedy will chair DACOWITS, which has monitored issues of women in uniform since 1951. The new committee members are: Col. (Ret.) Margarethe Cammermeyer, U.S. Army Reserve; Nancy Duff Campbell; Brig. Gen. (Ret.) Julia J. Cleckley, Army National Guard; Ruby DeMesme; Sgt. Maj. (Ret.) John L. Estrada, U.S Marine Corps; Deborah L. James; Brig. Gen. (Ret.) Maureen K. LeBoeuf, U.S. Army; Command Sgt. Maj. (Ret.) Roberta Santiago, U.S. Army; Col. (Ret.) Felipe “Phil” Torres, U.S. Marine Corps. Members will serve three-year terms without compensation.
