The Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency (DARPA) will offer 90-day internships to Marine Corps majors and lieutenant colonels next year, during which they will learn about many of the agency’s research and technology initiatives. Upon completion of the internships, the officers would return to their commands with a better understanding of how DARPA works, and how to tap the agency for resources that could be used during field operations. The classes will take place Jan. 6-March 31, March 30-June 8, and June 29-Sept. 29. Applicants must provide the POC with a letter requesting temporary assignment to the internship program, a statement of command endorsement; details of their current service obligation, contact information, and all undergraduate and graduate transcripts. Application packages should be sent to Maj. E. A. Llufrio, MCWL; DSN 378-0117; commercial (703) 432-0117.
