Deadline Looms for AF SERB-eligible Officers

To preclude Selective Early Retirement Board consideration, SERB-eligible officers must submit a retirement application by Dec. 15, with a requested retirement date on or before Sept. 1, 2007. The SERB will evaluate line of the Air Force and chaplain colonels and lieutenant colonels who meet the following criteria: line of the Air Force colonels with a date of rank on or between May 1, 2001, and Aug. 31, 2002; chaplain colonels with a date of rank on or between May 1, 1997, and Jan. 8, 2003; line lieutenant colonels who have been non-selected for promotion to colonel at least twice with a date of rank on or between Feb. 1, 1998 and May 31, 2001; and chaplain lieutenant colonels twice non-selected with a date of rank on or between Oct. 1, 1993, and May 31, 2000. Judge advocates are not affected.
