The Defense Finance and Accounting Service (DFAS) began distributing 2007 tax statements in December and will continue through the end of January. As always, they will be distributed by mail. But anyone interested in getting a head start on their taxes can find their statements on the DFAS Web site, as long as they have myPay access. The link is https://mypay.dfas.mil/mypay.aspx. Online access to IRS W-2, 1099R and 1099-INT forms, as well as retiree and annuitant statements, should be available online roughly two weeks earlier than the mail.
