F-35 Program Needs Another $500m

Development of the F-35 Lightning II stealth fighter will not be complete unless and until the Pentagon infuses the program with another $500 million, Bloomberg Technology reported. The plane already has a projected lifetime cost of $1.5 trillion. The Air Force and Marine Corps are flying the F-35, with the Navy anticipated to take delivery of a carrier-based version sometime in 2018.
