F-35B Completes Shipboard Night Test

Navy and Marine Corps aircrews have conducted and completed successful shipboard nighttime testing of the F-35B Lightning II aircraft. The trial, dubbed Operational Testing 1 (OP-1), took place May 21-23 on the amphibious assault ship Wasp. It entailed having pilots take off and land the aircraft four times aboard Wasp at night.
