Two Navy F/A-18 Super Hornet fighters crashed into waters off the North Carolina coast during a May 23 training mission, CBS News reported. The four crew members ejected safely and were rescued by the Coast Guard and a commercial fishing vessel. The planes, based at Oceana Naval Air Station, Va., apparently collided mid-air, according to the Coast Guard.
