The Air Force has designated Minot Air Force Base, N.D., as a non-concurrent travel location, because the area is still reeling from a housing shortage in the aftermath of heavy flooding in June. As such, the Air Force will not pay moving costs for family members of any technical training graduates or new members assigned to Minot for the immediate future. Family members whose moves to Minot are delayed more than 30 weeks may stay at their present location, or move to another designated location at government expense. Airmen who were authorized to move to Minot before Sept. 12 will be allowed to bring their families.
