The Navy Personnel Command is encouraging sailors who are interested in taking the Navy-wide examination for advancement to E-7 in January to study hard and make sure their records are up to date. The command’s Records Support Branch and BUPERS Web sites can provide electronic copies of service records for any sailors who wish to review them. Sailors who want to advance to chief petty officer should examine their records carefully. “I ordered my service record and realized two of my awards weren’t in there,” said Storekeeper 1st Class (AW) William Graves, supply leading petty officer at Navy Personnel Command, in a Navy press release.
