Judge: DoD Must Release Abu Ghraib Photos

The Defense Department must release photos showing abuse of prisoners held between 2004 and 2006 by U.S. troops at Iraq’s Abu Ghraib prison, a federal judge ruled March 20. The Associated Press reported that the government has two months to decide whether to appeal the ruling by U.S. District Judge Alvin Hellerstein. The ruling came as a result of a lawsuit filed by the American Civil Liberties Union in 2004.
