Service members and Defense Department civilian employees should make sure they have the proper documentation to prove they have health insurance for themselves and their families, the Pentagon advised. The Affordable Care Act requires that come time to fill out 2014 federal income tax returns, all Americans must be able to show they are covered. The Defense Department will notify the IRS about employee participation in either TRICARE or the Federal Employees Health Benefits Program, but it is up to individuals to ensure their paperwork is up to date.
