The Army National Guard and Marine Corps Reserve had the best recruiting month of any of the active and reserve components in March, with the Army Guard signing 6,774 new recruits (exceeding its goal of 5,150) and the Marine Reserve signing up 772 recruits (ahead of its goal of 523). The active Army enlisted 6,615 recruits, ahead of its goal of 6,389, while the Army Reserve singed up 3,010 recruits, ahead of its goal of 2,706. The active Navy, Marine Corps, and Air Force each met its monthly goals, with 2,886, 1,118, and 2,835 recruits respectively. The Air Force Reserve enlisted 983 recruits, ahead of its goal of 949, while the Air National Guard signed up 583 recruits, ahead of its goal of 540.
