Marines Get New Sergeant Major

Sgt. Maj. Ronald L. Green has been named by Commandant Gen. Joseph Amos to serve as the 18th sergeant major of the Marine Corps. Green, now the sergeant major of I Marine Expeditionary Force (I MEF), will succeed outgoing Sgt. Maj. Micheal P. Barrett during a Feb. 20 ceremony at the Marine Corps War Memorial in Arlington, Va. Like his predecessors, Green will serve as the senior enlisted advisor to the commandant.
