The Marine Corps is inviting all members to apply for recognition as the service’s male and female athletes of the year. The competition is open to Marines who excel in amateur intramural, varsity, All-Marine, national or international competitions. Applications are available on the Semper Fit Web site, www.usmc-mccs.org/sports. Each installation will select one male and female athlete of the year. Marines not located near an installation with an athletic director or Marine Corps Community Services office can submit applications directly to Headquarters Marine Corps. Applications are due at HQMC by April 15. The names of the male and female athlete of the year will be announced May 15.
