Mich. Guard Tackles Water Crisis

Michigan Gov. Rick Snyder has activated the state National Guard to help distribute potable water and water filters to the citizens of Flint, Mich. The town’s water supply is tainted with excessive amounts of lead, which can cause brain damage and trigger other health-related issues. State authorities attribute the poisoned water to a past decision not to require adding corrosion-preventative chemicals to the water.
