Individual augmentees (IAs) who serve in combat-related assignments will now receive performance evaluations and physical assessment results reflecting that service. With the change, announced March 9 in NAVADMIN 083/10, IAs in support of the war will receive a new billet subcategory code identifying them as such. The change will be reflected in reports ending Aug. 1 or later. “We want to ensure all sailors are properly recognized for superior performance,” said Vice Adm. Mark Ferguson, the chief of naval personnel.
