Navy Exchanges Host Career Kiosks

Navy Personnel Command is upgrading Navy Exchange computer kiosks to offer real-time information to Sailors. The kiosks offer Internet access to the BUPERS Web site, Stay Navy tools and a host of other links. Information available includes data on pay and entitlements, housing allowances, cost-of-living allowances and per diem rates. Users also can access local information on TRICARE, Fleet and Family Support Center points of contact, base facilities, housing, morale, welfare and recreation, local educational opportunities, church locations and the state’s department of motor vehicles. In addition, Sailors can research places to live, nearby restaurants or other local information about their base surroundings. Retirees can update DEERS information, make ID Card appointments and complete and print Navy and DoD forms. Kiosks have been posted in 20 Navy Exchanges.
