Navy Investigates Cheating at Nuke School

Navy investigators are probing allegations that 30 of the 150 sailors at Charleston (S.C.) Nuclear Power Training Unit cheated on a written qualification exam. Senior enlisteds within the command played a key role in sharing answers to the propulsion exam, investigators believe. The Navy shut down the training reactors at the school, pending the outcome of the investigation. “If the allegations are substantiated, the sailors will be held accountable,” Chief of Naval Operations Adm. Jonathan W. Greenert said Feb. 3.
