Sailors and Marines can now get quicker access to official statements regarding important issues, via the Internet. The sea services’ new official Navy Live blog, launched April 22, “will provide an opportunity for the senior leadership … to communicate directly with both the Navy and the public at large, without having to resort to the formality of a naval message or press release,” Navy Secretary Ray Mabus said in the first item posted on the blog, at http://navylive.dodlive.mil.
