Navy unrestricted line (URL) officers may be eligible to receive funding for off-duty graduate education under the 2008 Graduate Education Voucher (GEV) program. The GEV program is available to officers with demonstrated superior performance and upward career mobility who will have enough shore duty time to complete a graduate program. The program is open to active duty list officers in paygrades O-3 through O-5 with designators 111X, 112X, 113X, 114X, and 13XX. All required fees normally charged by the university relating directly to student application and enrollment, including mandatory health fees and health insurance, laboratory fees, vehicle registration and identification cards, and computer fees are reimbursable. Also reimbursable are the costs of textbooks and course materials, and limited expenditures for transcript and entry fees, and final thesis production. For more information see NAVADMIN 211/07.
