The Navy is encouraging enlisted sailors and Marines to convert to the Medical Service Corps (MSC), and receive commissions in the process. Under this year’s Medical Service Corps In-service Procurement Program, qualified active-duty and reserve enlisteds in pay grades E-5 through E-9 can apply. In some cases, those in pay grade E-4 can apply for physician assistant positions as well. Applications must be postmarked by no later than Aug. 17. The selection board will convene in October.
