Sailors who receive Special Duty Assignment Pay (SDAP) must complete the annual recertification process if they wish it to continue, the Navy Personnel Command announced. The pay ranges between $75 and $450 per month, and is given to qualified sailors who accept certain assignments and help sustain adequate manning levels. To qualify, sailors must be assigned to and working in billets listed in their command Manpower Authorization Listing. Command administrative departments or personnel officers grant such certifications, with the approval of their commanding officer.
