The Navy has picked 15,000 sailors randomly to take part in its first Telework and Technology Survey, which began Nov. 25 and will run through the middle of January. Respondents will have the chance to tell Navy leaders about how both traditional computers and hand-held devices like telephones, iPods, and digital cameras enable them to do their jobs and stay in touch with their family and friends. The Navy Personnel Research, Studies, and Technology division will assess the data collected in the survey. The service hopes to use the results to improve quality of life for its sailors and officers.
