Soon, sailors will have one way to submit leave chits – electronically. The Navy plans to do away with the traditional paper leave chits. Once in place, a new electronic system will allow sailors to quickly submit leave chits up the chain of command. Shore-based implementation will begin in August; with shipboard commands phased in during the next two-year period.
